THANK YOU!

Lori and David from the Shasta Lakeshore Retreat want to thank all our wonderful guests of this past summer.  We enjoyed seeing many of our returning guests as well as meeting many new families having a great time on the lake.  We feel very fortunate to have guests like you.

Below you will find some updates and improvements we have made based on your great inputs.

SUMMER 2019 WAS GREAT!

We had a very full lake all summer and no fires like the year before in the area.  Just beautiful clear blue skies.

NEW:  FAST INTERNET!

For years we have struggled with our slow DSL internet service by ATT.  Fortunately we successfully talked a new company into bringing in High Speed Internet to both of our homes.  You will love it.  It was installed in September and is very reliable.  Enjoy!

NEW:  STREAMING VIDEO

Now that we have faster internet we now have streaming video capabilities in addition to the DirecTV service we have always had.  We have a subscription on Netflix you can use while visiting or you can log into your other streaming accounts.

NEW:  BLUE-RAY/DVD PLAYER

Bring your DVDs!  Based on a number of requests, we have added a Blue-ray/DVD player at each house.

NEW:  FLOATING ISLAND

In July we added a floating island that was anchored off shore behind our two homes for our guests to use all summer.  We plan to do the same next year.  Please remember we also have the two kayaks and two paddle boards for your use also.  Although the paddle boards and kayaks will be available year around, the floating island will only be there during the warm months.

NEW:  THREE HAMMOCKS ADDED

Enjoy the shade and light breeze while you rock in your hammock looking out at the lake.  These were added in July 2019.  They will be taken down in the winter months.

IMPROVED: TRAILS TO MARINA AND LAKE

In July we significantly improved the trail to Sugarloaf Marina next door and also to the lake behind the houses.  As the lake has dropped we have extended the trail to the water level.  No more climbing over rocks to get to the lake when the lake is not full.  We plan to maintain always moving forward.

THE HOLIDAYS ARE GREAT AT THE LAKE

LAKE LEVEL UPDATE

This summer we enjoyed a very full full lake well into June and the lake level stayed pretty high all summer.   Based on the fact that the water level is higher this October than any other October in the past 10 or more years, even a light winter should bring the water to the top for the 5th year in a row.

We love full lakes!  🙂

SUMMER 2020 BOOKING UP

With the increased number of returning guests, our Summer’s are booking up earlier each year.  If you are interested in the main part of the Summer at one of our two homes, please look into it very soon.

We love returning guests.  We hope we see you.

NEW:  FLAT AREA CLOSER TO WATER

This will allow you to be closer to the kids playing in the water and you can set up a couple chairs to enjoy the sun.

LARGER GROUPS?

Although we have many guests that book our two homes together to support a group as large as 24, we have not really had a solution for more than that.  Well that will change as we have been working with some of the neighbors to get them to work with us closer to support larger groups.  Maybe 30, 40 or 50?  Let us know if interested.
