The homes have a combined advertised capacity of up to 223 guests, subject to each home’s total guest and adult limits.
Lake views, shoreline distance and access change with seasonal water levels. Lakefront does not mean the shoreline stays close to the home all year. Review the individual Retreat page, current lake-level information, parking restrictions and stairs before booking.

Choosing Your Shasta Lake Cabin or Vacation Home
Which Retreats are lakefront?
Retreats 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 19 and 20 are our lakefront homes. Shoreline distance and access vary with lake levels.
Which Retreats have a guest hot tub?
Guest hot tubs are available at Retreats 1, 2, 3 and 10.
Which homes suit larger groups?
Retreats 8 and 14 accommodate up to 16 guests, and Retreat 7 accommodates up to 15. Adult limits still apply. Families can also reserve nearby homes together, subject to availability and each property’s occupancy limits. Contact us for help choosing a combination.
Which homes should boat owners compare?
Retreat 6 offers easy parking for two boats. Retreat 14 has a large loop driveway with ample parking, and Retreats 9, 16 and 19 also offer boat parking. Retreat 8 has no boat parking, and boat trailers cannot park at Retreat 18. Confirm your vehicle and trailer dimensions before booking. Marina slips are arranged separately.
What should guests know about stairs?
Retreat 9 has one and a half flights of stairs to enter. At Retreat 8, stairs connect the second and third floors inside, while access between the lower game-room level and second floor is outside. Review each home’s layout or call us about your group’s mobility needs.
How do total guest and adult limits work?
Each home has its own maximum total guest count, and many also have a separate adult maximum. Both limits apply. Dens, reading rooms, offices, game rooms and family rooms are not additional permitted bedrooms. Retreat 2 and Retreat 3 lofts are not advertised as sleeping areas or additional bedding.

Some of our homes are located about a mile from Tsasdi Resort and less than 1/4 mile from Sugarloaf Cottages. We find many guests use to stay on houseboats but now enjoy the comfort of a nice home that is on the lake. Once you switch… you will never go back to a houseboat.
